Song Making with the Toy Orchestra
Drawing on vocal and acting exercises, improvisation, movement and body percussion, Nela will craft a song with her team from any element that they bring with them to the workshop. Simple movement patterns and sounds made with the body are taught in conjunction with simple vocal lines. Participants are encouraged to bring themselves in a good mood, any instruments that they play. If you don’t play an instrument but love the idea of playing, don’t worry just let us know and Nela will give you some suggestions of what you can bring from your family’s kitchen/pantry or even from your own room. Bring the language of your heritage and share it with others, teaching them the correct pronunciation of your name and some key phrases.
Together we will build a human orchestra of moving bodies, smiling faces, instrument or object playing participants, who sing, speak and above all – have fun!
The “song” we make will be built on knowledges that have come long before us, but will be 100% original and ours! ( Age 7-10 )
